Thettwya Zedidaw is he kind of pagoda with four entrances. The architecture of the Thettawya Zedidaw helps estimate it was built during the reign of King Sawlu (1077-1084).

It is situated on Sule promotory near Wetkyee-Inn creek in NyaungU Township. Since ancient times the promontory was known as Sawlu Hill but with the passage of time, it came to be known as Sule Hill and called thus till today. SuleĀ  Hill is east of Kyansittha Cave which is to the south of gupyaukkyee pagoda near Tayok-pyae Cave. In the entrance niches, statues resembling the four Buddhas, Kakuthan, Gawnagon, Kassapa and Gautama have been built. The statue in the east entrance is a standing statue, and the remaining three are in sitting position, cross-legged. Inside, behind the statues, the walls are adorned with natural water-colour frescoes, still distinct today.
